26th, Jan, 2011 Red Devils
The huge celebrations of Asians, Asian cup is almost ending. Yesterday, 9:30pm, the great match, Korea verses Japan started. Us, Korea started with 1 goal but Japan followed after. After a few extra times added up, the score was 2:2. We just thought we are going to lose and Korea made up a goal when game was 10 seconds long. So it went to penalty shots and ended up loosing by 3:0.

The moment we were losing, the moment we were winning, Red Devils were always together. We could easily see that we have more spirit then others that they were singing and cheering the whole time. But I wonder if it is good thing or bad thing.

Before

Is it necessary to divide ourself with raise? gender? religions? countries? Many of us will think it is a normal thing in the world and it is not even necessary, but it is. Eboo Patel had a childhood shedding himself to play in the white game. He complained to his father why he came to this place instead of Chicago where many Asians live. He hated being a Indian. He always cared about diversity and democracy but he got confused when he heard this question from his father. 'Why don't you talk about religions?' More and more he learns about it, he started noticing how serious it is. India explodes a bomb called the 'Hindu' bomb and Pakistan explodes a bomb called the 'Muslim' Bomb. Like this, there is a lot of conflict going on in the world right now. One of the great example, Hitler, changed the country. He killed millions and millions of people... Jews. Like not caring about them, just staring, stalking what they do like the 'Man in the Island.'

There is no good or bad religions. They are FOR  you to make your mind better, clearer, so you can believe you can do it. Making your own world, thinking about after lives are good but all the religions have similarities. After lives, checking your honesty when you are dead, these are all the things that you can usually see belief books. There is really no point of teasing each other according to religions. What makes you different?

26th Nov, 2010 Prejudice

People who try new things might be in so much trouble, but they do what they think! It worth it Everyone would have thought,'wow what is he trying to draw!' when they first saw his art work. We can see people's both eyes even though they are standing side ways. So we just say, awkward.

Trying new things need courage. Courage to stand up for it, courage to draw wat you haven't seen it before, and courage to persuade people. Picasso's one of the popular work, Guernica, shows war-like image. Every line in every picture has specific meaning. Focusing on the Guernica's theme, death, the ball of light which one man is holding might represent the hope. Last hope remaining. Picasso tried to show us the cruel faces, dying, suffering under the dead bodies.

In picasso's young eyes, war would be seen more powerful and cruel. Winner gets everything. By painting it in black and white, he might wanted to make is less cruel. People were all confused about this war. He tried to show how cruel  it is and it shall not happen again. To not have people like Fatmire Feka, who suffered to find her/his families...

Guernica people got hurt, one third of the populations died or wounded, people were running for their lives. People heard soldiers saying that they deserve this. Standing up for themselves is a WRONG thing!

15th Nov, 2010 Restricted

Nothing is free in Burma. Everything watched. Nothing is allowed before a check from government. Books and even lyrics! Not allowed... The citizens who are living in Burma will feel like being in a prison like a Minotaur, kept watched in a maze. Not allowed to escape. Every inch of them will be like tied up with chains. Like John, who has to do things that he doesn't want to do. Being controlled. Puppets...

Just listening to this terrible story, imagining, how will it be if I was in Burma. Isolated with the other countries. Like the man in the island, didn't do anything wrong but NOT welcomed. Because of the reason that you are different in religions, you just have different thoughts. That is how people think. Nothing else.

You can't do anything on your own! You don't have rights. That is how Burma is.

15th Nov, 2010 Freedom

Aung San Suu Kyi... After a long journey of 21 years of house arrest, she was finally released on Friday, 13th November, 2010. She stood up for democracy even though she could have gone in danger again. She is surly not a normal person though. Novel peace prize winner... She would have tried so hard to make a difference to earn that special prize. She didn't even complain! She said, 'It is not power that corrupts, but fear.' She just said there will be more people who actually got into more seriously bad situations... Prisons. I really appreciate that emotion... I would be so mad at people who put me in big depression for 21 years... As hero need risks to go through... She is a true hero. Standing up for herself, doing whats right even though it is dangerous. She had to let go of her families during these years. Still no complains. Amazing I have to say.

Her attitude of things are quite positive. I bet she had a lot of times in her life, making choices. Hard and big choices. It could change.

12th Nov, 2010 Forgiving

Korseba... shameful and painful history... People got hurt, both mentally and physically. Losing homes, leaving their hometown, meeting dead people everywhere. It made me think how blessed I am... A 'women of peace,' Fatmire Feka, had this sad background of childhood. She has seen that children shouldn't see, she experienced that children shouldn't experience. I was so touched. I was complaining about my life all the time and now, I noticed that I was so blessed. Being in a happy family, no worries...

Fatmire Feka had a huge job. To start a world peace, go one more step forward, show and tell people what is war. Fatmire Feka had two choices. Living with loneness, quietly, or to jump to the group that can make a change, joining a group which can stop wars.

All the people around the world knows how war is. We better FORGIVE each other than going right though military weapons.

1st Oct, 2010 Brothers

When I saw news, whole crowd was buzzing because of the next North Korea's president Kim Jung Eun. Everyone was keeping an eye on to it because this might change everything. When I say the truth, it make sense when I say the truth, it is true that communism is the fairest thing in the world when you just hear about it. There is no rich or poor, everybody gets same amount. But I think that is the main reason why North Korea didn't became like proud one country. No one would work hard. I wouldn't work hard too. You get the same amount of wages even you work hard or play.

Now it is worse. They shot over 300 bombs to the peaceful island of Republic of Korea. They actually declared war. They have killed 3 people and that island is now restricted from normal citizens. All the villagers have moved and the whole world is buzzing because of this shocking news. We knew if we fight back, there is going to be a war. Our country was furious when we just found out that Kim Jung Ill was watching a concert when we were praying for patriotic soldiers. We didn't do anything to them! Actually we helped them. We gave them grains and even cows! Now we found out that they used it as military supplies.

World peace is the most important thing now. Power is there to lose it someday. We can just go peacefully from now on... Hopefully. Even though we win, even though North Korea is extinct from the world map, there is going to be a huge damage on us to. Friends, families and neighbors. Dead. We know what is war. We also know what is going to be a result for it. Now we are in a big road diverged in a yellow wood.(The Road Not Taken) Have to chose what will we do...

I chose this picture, the flag of North Korea, because I wanted to show people that how we have different flags even though we are brothers.
