Nowadays in our ESL class, we are learning about 'Civilizations.' So Ms.Nadaraj asked us,' Is your country civilization?'

RELIGION: Korea has a lot of religions. Those are buddhism, christianity adn catholic. But the most popular one is...... christianity! You can feel that Koreans actually LOVE god. When you go top of the tower or mountains at night, you can see the red flashing lights covered whole city! The second popular religion is buddhism. In the past, Korea had ONLY buddhists. But civilization was growing, other country's customs were started to come in! But still, you can see over hundreds of people are visiting temples for anniversaries.

WRITING: When we look at the past, we were used to use Chinese as our language. But it was tooo hard for the normal citizens to learn it. So one of our greatest king in history, King SeJong made the language 'Korean.' Many governors disliked it because they thought learning language is only for the high class people. But King SeJong didn't changed his mind. He made it! Now Korean is one of the most scientific and easiest language in the world.

TECHNOLOGY: Korea's one of the best part, TECHNOLOGY! Korea is known as most strong band in technology stuff. Phone, TV, ect. SAmsung, LG, Kia, hundai, ect. They are in the whole wide world. So noticed this at first when I came to Malaysia. Almost all the people use LG or SamSung phones and TV. Now it is not only popular in Korea, it is the world brand!

GOVERNMENT: Okay... So what do you think? Do you think Korea has government? Of course yes! Korea has Government from 500 years ago! That was the greatest King, SeJong. At that time, they cared about people a lot. because he cared about people a lot, he got sick.... But nowadays, president control the country with governors!

ART: Korea art has a lot of examples. Korea traditional masks, sign, drawing, sculpture, buildings, ect. Korean art is special. Maybe it is similiar with japanese or chinese but it has our own style! Korea's tranditional masks are really spooky adn scary becasue they wamted to make ghosts go out of their room.

STABLE FOOD SUPPLY: Korea has stable food supply. Korea has good weather to farm which is winter, summer, spring and fall. When it was long time ago, Korean farmers had hard time at April and May bacause they barely had food to survive until fall. But now, we invented the green house so we can eat stuff even though it is not fresh enough.

SOCIAL STRUCTURE: Korea doesn't have that strong social structure. It is because Korea is democracy! Korea's owner is citizens. No one is controlling the country by their selves. They have to ask for it if the all people agrees with it! It is the most fair thing I have ever seen. The only Communism country in the world is North Korea. THey have to work for country, and they have to do the job that government chose for them.They can't reject it because then the food supply will stop.

Finally, almost 1 year passed in Malaysia. I can't belive how time flows. I think now is the time to edit my goals.

Okay, so my academic goal is to stuby verbs, nouns and all the grammer stuff. I think I am really WEAK at grammer because eglish is not my first language. Although I am LEARNING! I am quite sure that I will be better when I keep practice. Well, I learned grammer from long~long~ time ago but I think I was too young or teacher explained it too hard. So there I barely knowledge about grammer inside my brain#.#

So my social goal is, be more active and try to be friends with all the people in different countries. I think its kind of unfare that Koreans make a group. Then how about the other country students like china?

SECOND NOT RANDOM ESSAY

Almost 1 year passed in Malaysia. But I have things I have to arrange. For example, I have to edit goals.i think I have to put things which I can achieve fast.
So my social goal is try to communicate and understand people more. I think sometimes I ignore people or made people feels bad (not on purpose). Also I want to be friends with the people who is not Korean. The reason is, this is international school. We are attending this school to make our English better and Bias different. If I will join with only Koreans, why don’t I go to Sayfol which has 70% Koreans? I can learn their special things like ‘Ramadan’. That is the season that Hindu people starve! Well that was one of the strange thing when I just came to Malaysia.

My academic goal is to arrange grammar tense. Of couse I know but I make a mistake really often. So I will try to think before I write. My other goal is make 1 place up for every subject! If I want to do that, I have to read question carefully when I am taking a test! Well I know that I always make a stupid mistakes from nothing! Hopefully, I will review even though I don’t have test or quiz!

So that’s my goal from now. My goal will change as I go FORWARD!

REMEMBER POWER OF THE VOID CONCERT

I put the slience after the understanding people because I wanted people to think about 'so???' So thats why I put the silence after the understanding. So after they thought 'so that kind of thing make student to be?' The answer comes over.

Composers create the tension in their music by stopping their music and suddenly start the music loudly. If composers make the void long enough to make audience think 'what's going on?' and they make a loud sound, it will make audiance surprise, also more tension to their music.

Sleepovers in Shion’s house with Shion and Marisa

During the winter vacations, I did a lot of fun things. For the 2 weeks, I went to Australia and visit 2 of the cities which is Sydney and Melbourne. For the last one week, I did all the reviews for school and I did sleepovers with Marisa and Shion which was my best sleepover ever…!!! But it was really weird that having the winter vacation without snow. And also it was rrrrreeeeeeeaaaalllllllyyyyyyyyyyy hot. When i was doing track and field, i felt like i'm gonna faint.

First of all, I went Sydney. I felt it’s kind of cold because of the strong wind. During the whole week, I went to the Port stepen, Blue mountain, Manly Beach, Bondi Beach and few Museums. But the best one was the beach part. At that time, it was freezing. But I did change and jump in to the ocean… The good thing about Manly beach was that the depth of the beach was shallow but the wave was high and strong. So that was the reason that I loved it. Also blue mountain and Port stepen was interesting also because the origin of that name ‘Blue’ is because of the alcohol when Queen Elizabeth saw it look like blue.

also The guide said many people asked him that if they go in to the Blue mountain, do they feel like drunk. But the answer is that you just feel a bi tsleepy. and other thing is all right! Another part of the travel, Port Stepen is like desert. I rode the port stepen send sleigh. But it was not that fast… Also we went to the Taronga zoo. It was huge. We had to ride the ferri to go there and then we have to ride the sky safari to go up to the top. We could experience the Australian animals and also we saw the Koalas and Kangaroo. We got chance to touch them. They were so cute and they were so soft..! But the bad thing was that when I see my hand after i touch them, there are a lot of hair left. so i have to wash my hand immidately. I also saw the dingo. It looks like just the formal dog but when you see him eat the raw meat. You will notice that is wild because, it just put everything in his mouth and eat very fast.

In addition, I went to Melbourne. And the first thing I saw was the ‘tram’ which was really interesting. It’s looks like train but it’s going on the car road like bus. The one that I loved it was ‘Penguin Parade.’ First we have to wait until 8o’clock and you can see the 4~5 penguins at the water. They try to come out but because they are so tiny (only about 30cm), it’s really hard to come out. Also even if they came out they jump in the water again when their friend didn’t come out. They took so long time to come out of it…! So that’s why I thought they are really team working well.

Lastly, I did sleepover in Shion’s house. It was really fun. It might be the best sleepovers ever! We did listen to music, play board games, swim, Nintendo, and also we did truth or dare. The favourite thing was we turn on the music and record our video randomly. It was fun but now, I am scared because Shion might put that in YouTube Face book. But at that thim, it was so fun. Also we go on to Skype and tease Diksha. Diksha was so mad at us! We were not scared because we knew that we will not connect camera or microphone. After few minutes, we went to bed and did truth or dare. After that, Shion said I have to go to sleep because I have to go to Korean School tomorrow. But Io was not sleepy at all so i told Shion to wake me up. Tomorrow when i woke up, Shion and Marisa was staring at me because, Shion shook me so hard even Marisa get up! But i didn't felt anything...

At this winter vacation without snow, was my first vacation in Malaysia. I think because of that, it's more important because i already did the 1 and a half of school year! Especially that I been to the Australia and had many experience and understanding of the other culture. Also doing sleepover with friends made me friendlier. Even though, I’m not staying for a long time in Malaysia. I want to enjoy everything.

Analogy....

At ESL class, i learned about analogy. To me, analogy is like equations. Equations is like this...



I just thiught that is like equation because analogy is somethin g that you find a pattern and solve it! So i made...this!!!!
· Computers are to search as books are to learn.
· Rings are to fingers as necklaces are to necks.
· Air-conditioner is to cool as heater is to warm.
· Fish are to rivers as birds are to trees.
· Eyes are to see as ears are to hear.
· Lollipop is to suck as apple is to bite.
At the first time, it was made like equation for example, 'fish are to rivers as birds are to trees.'
It was made of fish:rivers=birds:trees. So it is so easy to make like that an then you have to make like ......be verb to .......as..........be verb to ......
So when i understand the sentence structure, it's vvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyy easy!!!!!!!!
But at the first time, i was so confused like 'how can i make this?' But after Mrs.Nadaraj help me for 2 sentemces, i was very good at it!

First trimester is over!!!

At the first trimester, i learned many things about how the school works, the class, the rules, and how to open the locker.^^
At the first day of school, i was surprised because almost all system in the school works by internet. At the P.E, we had to see the information board and check out where should we go. And also(because it's international school)there are various of food in the world. For example, ko's kitchen, cannie's, sam's... And also, we can learn various languages from friends. Also, because we can meet many kinds of temper of people, we can learn how to control myself and also, i can learn thing. it's an obvious thing that you will fight with many people which you met for the first time. But in my experience, i became best friend with fiends who i fight with her almost everyday! The ko's kitchen was awesome! At the first day of school, i was glad to eat my country foods even though i am in the another country. the truth is, i was barely bought my lunch at KO's kitchen because those foods are so expensive compare to another type. But nowadays. i eat a lot of Korean foods because i miss those! It's only about 7 month that i lived Malaysia but i missed ti already... During P.E class, i was amazed by that because in my old school, we only had playground and gym. i was so pleased to experience new things at school like swimming, Frisbee and badminton.i am not good at it, but i enjoyed it. Now it's time to get my report card. I got my report card at Korea too, but i didn't get that nervous. Also i heard from friend that if you get NP every time, school ask you to get out of school. because of that, i became very nervous about it. But it's my first time, so it's more previous report... At Halloween, i was so excited and i wore the witch hairband which is purple. it was so scary when people are wearing scary masks.Mask that i freak out the most was the mask when you press the heart, the blood was coming out from it!!! but that day was last week of the first trimester, we ate ice cream to celebrate for that.

Th e most things that i was so fun was spirit week. For the whole week, we dress up with super hero, wacky tangy, twin, sport and house. When we dress up like that, we get points fo rhouse which is Orangutans, Kerbau, Kuda, Tupai. We were so excited about that...Do it was so fun!
